As we all know there is no need to warm up in Dubai, meaning I always feel a little less festive. Christmas is about feeling cosy and joyful! To my delight, this festive time is celebrated all over the UAE. With plenty going on it impossible not to catch some Christmas Cheer. I have picked out the top 5 festive things to help you get into theChristmas Spirit. Move over Scrooge!
A Christmas Play
Absurd Person Singular, a classic British comedy, is showing at the CourtYard. This will have will get you laughing and is a great way to spend an evening on the lead up to Xmas! A theatre show at this festive time is a huge tradition in my family! Plus its FREE!
Festive Sea & Tea Tour
Yellow Boats are running a 75-minute tour of Dubai, that includes a traditional treat afternoon tea at The Lobby Lounge, Ritz-Carlton. Running from Tuesday, December 6th to Saturday, December 31st. Price from 330 AED.
We are in love with the fact Dubai now has its very own opera house. It has not disappointed us yet! They have two performances on in December to get to you in the holiday spirit.
Christmas Tree Lighting
Yes, this happens in Dubai too! Get yourself down to The Irish Village on 5th December 2016 from 7pm – 9pm or Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa on 11th December 2016 at 7pm. A traditional tree lighting is a perfect way to see in the holiday season. Choirs, carols, mince pies and more will be on offer to add to the festive mood! A must for Christmasholics!
Dubai Winter Festival
From 8th-10th December at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, you will be able to enjoy the Dubai Winter Festival. Running for 5 years this is a whole weekend packed with festive fun. Plus you will be able to pick up some unique Christmas gifts for your loved ones. You can visit Santa, enjoy a pantomime and soak up all the Christmas fun.
