Jumeriah Al Qasr truly is a luxurious staycation.
Al Qasr meaning ‘the palace’ is only just the beginning of what to expect when visiting Al Qasr Jumeriah. Situated in the heart of the Madinat Jumeriah and boasting a magnificent view of the one and only Burj Al Arab. Your heart really does skip a beat when you arrive.
Al Qasr is home to the one of the most romantic restaurants in Dubai Pier Chic and has the infamous Talise Spa at your door step. With endless access to the Souq via an abra to and from your hotel room it makes staying at Al Qasr truly feel regal.
Staying at Al Qasr you get to have the best of all worlds, in fact, imagine luxury redefined but for the whole family. Well, yes this actually exists right here in Dubai.
You do not have to travel far when planning a family staycation when living in one of the most popular travel destinations. With endless choices, we knew Al Qasr would still be one of the best.
After brunching here often, knowing it is one of the best, with this in mind, I knew the staycation would not disappoint. This is not only the luxury brunch in Dubai but also my favorite and often kept for special occasions. On another day I shall talk about the brunch.
Check In and Check Out
As you enter the glamourous entrance past Arabian horses, oasis and smiling staff, one has to stop and take it all in.
Beautiful chandeliers along with beautiful floors made of marble await you. To the left, you will find the check-in area and to the right is the checkout area.
Check in is from 3pm and check out is by 12pm. This has to be the only annoying thing about staying at this palace. We were here just for one night and well checking in at 3pm and checking out at 12pm seems somewhat not really a full day. However, we called ahead and they said it would be fine to use the hotel facilities until the room was ready and the same for the day you check out.
I have to say on check in we were welcomed with lovely mint and lime refreshments and well taken care of while we waited. You must have all the passports of whoever is joining you on the staycation. This is an important tip. If you have a friend visiting they are welcomed to enjoy the facilities as your guest. Though when wanted to use one of the complimentary passes to Wild Wadi for a guest, the security was not very helpful. I would recommend trying to pre-arrange this if you can, to avoid to problems we had.
Anyhow, let me talk tell you about the highlights………
We stayed in the Arabian Deluxe room which can accomodate for 3.
We opted for a king size bed. They decided to give us an extra bed as I was staying with my brother which was rather lovely. The room had a great view over the gardens and of the resorts in house lagoon.
The bed was super comfortable one of the best beds I have slept in.
We enjoyed breakfast at Mina Al Salam which is Al Qasr sister hotel. You may eat breakfast at Al Qasr too, but it’s a nice little adventure you take the abra for breakfast.
Taking pictures on the abra was lovely and the Burj Al Arab made a great back drop.
The variety and choice for breakfast was overwhelming from international to middle eastern the choice is yours.
Food quality was 5 star along with impeccable service. What else would you expect?
In Room Dining
In room dinning is fast and have to say the food is amazing. We optd for the Butter chicken which was a Jumeriah recommendation honestly it was the best butter chicken in the whole of Dubai.
For kids menu, there was a huge array and my brother enjoyed the meat balls and spaghetti.
Guests can enjoy Wild Wadi Waterpark access for free.
They have a lot to offer at the Al Qasr resort from Tennis club, Talise Spa,the beach and fab pool areas, there is just so much to choose from. As we we only had one night we spent the whole day lounging in the sun and eating at the Pool.
They do have a great kids club called Sindbad which is great for the little ones.
During the day the staff give complimentary ice lollies around the pool, delightful in Dubai heat.
The resort is huge, like a city of its own so enjoy using the abra or the golf buggies to get around. The golf buggy is fun to use though with waiting times it can take longer than actually walking.
The buggy drivers were so friendly, always so helpful and they remember each guest which makes it that more personal.
The buggy can also take you Wild Wadi and back to the resort.
You do not have to worry about any transport or getting around you literally taken care of within the resort. No stress here!
The best part of this staycation is that it felt like we were literally on holiday some where else in the world. It was truly magnificent to be a tourist in Dubai which we often don’t get to experince as we are either hosting or working.
This is the perfect place to have a true holiday experience in Dubai if you have not already book your staycation here
They have great offers for UAE residents too so be sure to check that out.
I have also vlogged about my entire staycation here hope you enjoy it:
Have you stayed here?
