If you are like me you will have many relatives and friends who want to visit you in Dubai. It is always on peoples bucket list to visit here.
Dubai is one of the most visited, photographed, and envied cities for tourists and wanderlusts. It is the norm as an expat to be hosting a friend or distant relative every other week. We all love the vibe of having friends visit us but it can tend to exhausting when you start to know the Dubai Foundation running order. Is it OK to say “hang on!” next time someone asks to stay with you, in your home? Is it OK to deny them free accommodation in your home? I am tired of making my small apartment into a holiday home and sleeping on a couch for what seems to be every other week. (To my loved ones, I do love you and I do still want you to visit). However, it does become exhausting ….the excitement we have to build up for your arrival and then plan your holiday. I have been to 12 desert safaris, been photographer and looked up at the Burj Khalifa a million times. On top of providing accommodation it becomes hard work. Now I have found a solution to help me host my guests and make my life easier. This is the solution to have your friends visit with out staying in your home!
Until recently I thought the plan to move to Dubai had become more for the benefit of my loved ones rather than me. The answer to hosting visitors has just become a whole lot easier.
Recently WMK Short Stay came up on the block which offers a short stay service of beautiful luxurious homes, similar to Airbnb, except that you can go directly to their website and have a 360 tour of each property they have! So you basically get to take a personal tour in any of their homes from the kitchen right into their living room and pick which ever one you like with just a click. Plus there is no minimum night stay, it is yours for however long you wish! If you wish to find the listing on Airbnb with endless reviews coming from all types of visitors.
Suited to match your needs from business trips, party locations, hosted family or just a night away from a chaotic home. With listings situated all around Dubai you can pick the area that bests suits your needs from DIFC,Downtown and the Marina which is known to be the tourists fave.
I think hosting friends just became a lost easier with WMK Short Stay. Here`s how the scenario worked out for me. A mutual friend of another girlfriend of mine decided to visit for a week. We knew we didnt have enough space in any of our studio apartments so decided to use a short stay service. This way we could all be in one place. We agreed that it would be easier plus it was like being in the comfort of our own home but with a touch of hotel luxury.
We managed to book an apartment with WMK Short Stay in minutes, we opted for the modern luxury loft situated in Central Park Towers, Dubai International Financial Centre close to Dubai Mall and world famous Burj Khalifa. Ideal for our tourist.
When we arrived I instantly felt as if I was on holiday too; no stress of sleeping on a sleeper couch just utter bliss. The stay was full of little extra touches. For example I no hassle of sourcing out an iternairy or list of places to eat it was all listed on a neat chart. The host was super helpful and had organised a few supplies on our arrival such as treats and amenities. They also offered a pick up and drop off to the airport which was a nice stress relief for my friend who had not been to Dubai before and we all know how overwhelming it can be to visit a big city and then have to take a taxi to place.
All I had to do was go to work and come home. My guest was happy and at ease without feeling as if she had stolen someones bed for the night. She kept saying how comfortable she felt there.
Not too mention the place had a beautiful outdoor terrace with amazing views of Sheikh Zayed road’s Skyline. We even hosted a few friends over since we had an amazing apartment fit for a gathering. It was literally a destination in itself.
I was too busy having a great time with my friend to grab any personal photos of us around the apartment so I have gathered a few from their website which do the place absolute justice the place looks as great as they look in pictures. Highly recommend using them as a stay-cation or to host a friend.
The Rooms: 2 large bedrooms each with an ensuite, the main bedroom boasts a walk in closet with a TV of its own (great for privacy)
The Bathrooms: Both Bathrooms have a tub and a shower attached (above average not extreme luxury but very big compared to the norm)
Beds: 2 King size beds in total and the beds are divine super comfortable clean linens felt super clean and smelled super fresh (there was an extra pull up bed for the extra guest if need be)
Others: The Kitchen is super spacious and the lights change colour to the mood you suit, living area is large its super spacious as it is a loft and the ceiling is super high, the apartment is well looked after and super clean they also provided an iron and hair dryer which I thoroughly appreciated.(Since I was living out a suitcase and still needed to be a business woman by day this came in handy). Also the best part was if you needed the apartment to be cleaned the host would send one over immediately at no extra cost. To be honest we kind of felt like we were in an episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians we were true queens for a week.
Value for money: Please note WMK is aimed at providing the true Dubai luxury living so the prices may be steep but you do get a true Dubai Holiday at best.
Would I stay here again: Definitely yes I would like to try out their other apartments if I could live here forever I so would.
If there is anything else you feel I have left out or would like more information on the apartment feel free to drop a comment and I will get back to you as quickly as possible.
